Anna Benson

     Anna Benson (born 1976 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American model and wife of Baltimore Orioles pitcher Kris Benson. Benson is mostly known for her beauty, large breasts, and outspoken personality.

     Anna Benson in January 2006.Anna Benson was born outside of Atlanta. Benson worked as a stripper during her early 20's. Anna was known to be a party and wild girl. She struggled to make money and support her child. In 1998, Anna met minor league pitcher Kris Benson, the couple dated and then married. Thanks to Kris' earnings, Anna enhanced her looks and obtained breast implants, she later began modeling and first modeled for Penthouse.

On July 30, 2004, the Pittsburgh Pirates traded Kris to the New York Mets. During the baseball season, she controversially stated on Howard Stern's radio show that she would have sex with all members of the New York Mets organization, (whom her husband was playing for at the time), including the grounds crew, if he were ever to have an affair. In November 2004, Anna posed for FHM Magazine. FHM called her baseball's hottest wife. The combination of the photo shoot and the Stern interview garnered Benson considerable notoriety.

In July 2005, she began playing at the 2005 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas under the nickname "Gold Digger," but was ejected from the tournament for poor etiquette and foul language.

In November 2005, Anna was negotiating to pose nude for Playboy Magazine, but the two sides couldn't come to an agreement due to money. A month later, Anna wore a red dress that revealed her cleavage at a New York Mets Christmas Party for kids. On January 21, 2006 the Mets traded Kris to the Baltimore Orioles. Anna was angry at the Mets for trading her husband for bad pitchers. Despite the trade, Anna decided to stay in New York.

Some think she is the reason why Benson was traded from the Mets to Orioles for the 2006 season. In an interview with Bill O'Reilly on March 21, 2006, the Fox News commentator (in a segment arguably more suited to his days with Inside Edition) asked her whether she thought comments suggesting that a former Mets teammate was unpatriotic had anything to do with the trade. She opined that it was strictly a business decision. She also stated that she intends to continue being her own person and not make any special effort to fit the "baseball wife" stereotype, of someone who (as O'Reilly suggested) just sits around and watches her husband play baseball, a kind of non-activity which Benson reiterated would "drive her crazy".

After the trade, Anna posed topless for the April 2006 issue of FHM Magazine. On March 30, 2006, Anna filed for divorce from Kris, stating the the marriage is "irretrievably broken." It was later revealed that Kris had cheated on her with one of her friends. On April 4th, she dismissed her lawyer and is now interested in reconciling the marriage.

Currently, Anna spends time living in New York City and Atlanta.
