She met her husband in 1998 while she was dancing at a club in Atlanta, Georgia. He swept her off her feet and took her away from all of that.

In response to the tragedy of September 11th, she created Benson's Battalion in October 2001 with her husband Kris for the purpose of "dedicated to fighting terrorism and keeping Pennsylvania communities safe by supporting police and fire departments and other concerned public safety groups through funding for equipment, supplies and education."

Husband, Kris Benson re-signed with the New York Mets for the 2005 season. Did you know that Kris gives a signal to Anna after every inning? He points up to her luxury skybox and puts his forefinger into his right ear after every inning. [Rumor: she watches from her own luxury box because she offends the other player's wives.]

Anna Benson was proclaimed "Baseball's Hottest Wife" by FHM magazine in 2004.

Anna has a "candid" and revealing interview with Howard Stern in late November 2004. The most startling thing said in the interview is that she would have sex with every other player in the Met's organization if she ever found him cheating on her.

In July of 2005, she was sponsored to play at the Worlds Series of Poker in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, during one of the early rounds, she was disqualified and kicked out of the competition for using too many curse words.

She made New York sports page headlines in the Big Apple when she blew a fuse over trade talks involving her hubby. Now that the Mets are making some good moves, she wants to make sure that he stays there. [Note: Benson posted a 10-8 record with a 4.13 ERA.]

In January 2006, the New York Mets traded Kris to the Baltimore Orioles and Anna did not hold any punches in what she thought about the Mets front office.

After only a few months in Baltimore away from all of the media hype, Kris Benson says he is happy about the trade. However, Anna is not so happy with Kris - so she has filed for divorce in March 2006. Now that April has come about and baseball season has begun, she has had a change of heart and is not going ahead with the divorce.

What will Anna be doing next (when not watching her husband play baseball)? There are rumors that she might be hosting a reality show on cable in the near future. She may also be writing a diary for the New York Post. It has also been reported that she was negotiating with Playboy for a photo shoot, but it fell over money through before reaching an agreement.

Hobbies & Interests:

Anna is very involved with charity work and spend many hours donating her time to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburg, The American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the Saint Barnabas Hospital.
